Scalar® i6 offers a unique solution to address massive data growth challenges. Start with a single, 6U system and grow to fill an entire 48U rack with a single, integrated library that can store up to 36 petabytes of data. Pay for the expanded capacity only when you need it with Capacity-on-Demand (CoD) licensing. The result is a system that enables you to manage massive data growth and long-term storage requirements efficiently and protect it from cyber threats.
Quantum Scalar i6 Base Library, 6U Control Module, 50 licensed slots, no tape drives.
Includes one 6U library control module with 50 licensed slots, embedded Ethernet, internal module interconnect, partitioning capability, rackmount kit, one power supply, one 3ft (0.9m) C13-C14 and one 3ft (0.9m) L-5-15 power cords.
Other types of power cords should be locally sourced. Includes 100 physical cartridge slots and support for up to three tape drives. Includes the capability to create 15 partitions. Includes Bezel to support Ransom Block Feature upgrade option (LSC3A-AMAG-ST1A). Does not include an expansion module, tape drives, tape media, Fibre Channel or Ethernet cables.
If redundant power is required, add one power supply (LSC36-APWR-001A). Media labels are not included. Maximum seven expansion modules, 24 tape drives and 800 licensed slots per i6 library. Requires standard 19in (48.2cm) four-post rack that supports a minimum product depth of 36.4in (925mm) or has an external rack depth at least 42.13in (107.0cm) deep, such as APC AR3100. Customer installable, but phone-based installation (SSC36-NSYN-PB00) or onsite installation (SSC36-NSYS-000x) is recommended. A Bronze, NBD Gold or Gold Support Plan (SSC36-LSJ0-xxxx) may also be added.
